AO randomly turned off and won't turn back on?

I've been using Reshade with framework in Dark Souls 2; Scholar of the First sin. At first it worked great, and I used Ambient occlusion for weeks without a problem. But now, the AO is just gone. There are no error messages, tonemapping and other effects are still enabled. But AO has vanished. Re-installing Reshade clean has not solved it. Ideas?

Maybe with new patch, the game produces network traffic which is the indicator for ReShade to determine an online game. So ReShade thinks you are playing online and disables depth buffer. This is to avoid exploitation.
