Insurgency with Reshade 3 was created by twacrs
I've been using sweetfx and Reshade + sweetfx with Insurgency for a while now without issues. However with Reshade 3, I've started running into some problems...
First off, I've been installing reshade to the /bin/ folder inside the game directory with the exe as I've done with other versions (reshade doesn't work without this and I've never had any issues before). When I first load up the game with Reshade, nothing seems off - it compiles all shaders without a hitch. However, when I go to create a preset and switch to performance mode, I start getting errors akin to this (pulled from dxd9.log):

Not much (if anything) seems to change from config mode to performance mode, even with the errors. However, if I go into a game, I get a strange bug where my skybox will change quite weirdly (it appears over-saturated and over-contrasted), but only when the Reshade GUI is open. Nothing else changes but the skybox. This also happens with an empty (no fx) preset.

Additionally, I have this weird issue when on some (not all) maps the game seems overly dark (more so than it should be), and this can only be fixed by taking a screenshot (the game appears to revert to the proper lighting). I've had this issue with sweetfx and sweetfx + Reshade 2.0 as well.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Btw, is there a master toggle key to switch all of reshade on/off as with previous versions?
thanks.

These are two known bugs in the current version which will be fixed in the next update.
There is no global switch (there never was, only previously all effects were set to the same toggle key, which you now have to do manually).

Ah, ok. Very cool.
Should I be worried about the errors?

Well, yeah, some shaders do not work in performance mode in D3D9. If you use any of them, you need to stay in configuration mode for now.

Insurgency can't be used with DX 10+, right?

No. Either way, the bug was fixed in ReShade 3.0.1 which is released.

What exactly is the difference between performance mode and configureation mode I never noticed any difference

Configuration mode uses uniform buffers, performance mode uses compile-time constants. The latter gives the compiler the option to apply more thorough optimizations and therefore can produce much faster code.
