This is what happens:
(1) I doubleclick on "ReShade Setup.exe".
(2) Click on "Select Game".
(3) Select the game exe file and click on "Open".
Then I get the message ReShade Setup has stopped working.
I tried every ReShade version from 10.0 up to 15.0, but the problem stays the same. To run it as Administrator do not help.

Maybe it's something with some runtime packages like latest vc++ , vcredist etc. ?
But you could easily setup reshade manually. Just copy reshade32.dll or reshade64.dll (according to your game executable 32bit or 64bit) and then rename to match your game hook for the api it uses. For example rename "reshade32.dll -> d3d9.dll. if game uses directx9 api. For specific game info see here reshade.me/compatibility .

OK. I have a Windows 64 bit.
Your advice is the following:
Setup reshade manually. Just copy reshade32.dll or reshade64.dll (according to your game executable 32bit or 64bit) and then rename to match your game hook for the api it uses. For example rename "reshade32.dll -> d3d9.dll. if game uses directx9 api.
I have renamed "reshade.64dll to d3d9.dll and copied it into the game file. Or should I not copy it there?
As you said I can set it up manually.
What will the next steps be, please.

Just follow the steps in the readme on how to manually install. The setup is quite unreliable currently.

I made an install video guide. It shows you exactly what to do. Make sure to remove the spaces in the ".com" from this link since this forum doesn't allow linking:

For your ReShade setup not working you could try this suggested in the README file.
You also need .Net Framework 4.5 or higher in case you want to use the setup
tool to simplify installation progress. ReShade itself does not depend on it.

Thanks everybody for their input.
ReShade is now working.
The game is Need for Speed II Special Edition and it can be added to the list of games that work with ReShade.
