I had it working too with Vulkan ... but the latest RDR2 patch screwed things over. Seems that some people can make it work, others can't. The reason I can only guess. I even tried to install the Vulkan SDK + RT but nothing. But there is one thing I learned and that is that the latest ReShade and Vulkan *is* working: there is a test Vulkan render and it is working fine on that. So, it's RDR2 that is the culprit.

I solved it! RDR2 Vulkan works now with ReShade Vulkan!!!
I tried almost everything, also with running ReShade installer as Admin, and so on.
But .... I totally forgot about the R* Game Launcher and RDR2.exe were set by default to run as Admin. This all on advise from R*, they give it as workaround to make RDR2 more stable. So, when RDR2 and the R* Game Launcher are *not* running with admin rights, it all works fine :cheer:

Can confirm that installing the reshade, directing it to rdr2.exe and unchecking admin rights for both the launcher exe and rdr2 exe made it work for me not sure why. It didn't work when I was running the launcher with admin rights no matter what I tried. And just a friendly reminder for anyone using reshade, don't use it when playing online unless you want a 1 month ban from online, only use for story mode. Thanks Vreem for your suggestion!

There's a stuttering present in Doom when you move your mouse with Reshade injected.



Not happening if u start the game without Reshade.

Not happening in Rage 2.

That's because, when you install Reshade as a global layer, the setup writes a specific entry in the \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Khronos\Vulkan\ImplicitLayers key. So, if you run the game as an admin, vulkan does not find the Reshade layer in the registry. You have to run the game with the current windows user, for Reshade to work properly (or don't install the global layer, but leave the setup tool opened while running the game).

I am having an issue with reshade with rdr2 with vulkan. When I tick Enable vulkan globally the game crashes on startup.I have selsected to install for vulkan for the reshade setup but it still crashes? Anyone know how to fix this.

I'm using Epic Launcher, RDR2 product version = 1.0.1232.13
But my friend just reported, He currently using R* Launcher and works fine!
All you have to do is enable "Reshade Vulkan Globally" and then put the related file to proper folder inside C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Local\ReShade

As for me, I am using Rashade 4.5.0 and Superdepth3D.fx (this shader allows you to get 3D-effect on different 3D-monitors or 3D-TV's) with Nvidia Driver v441.12 and they works fine in Rage 2 (Vulkan) but they won't work on driver v.441.66 (Reshade 4.5.0 not works in Rage 2).

Update:
RAGE 2 (Vulkan) now working with ReShade 4.5.1 when using last Nvidia driver v441.66. Reshade+Superdepth3D in DirectX12 works excellent in Gears 5 and Borderlands 3. Thanks for DirectX12 support in Reshade!

- You may check ReShade64.log inside C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Local\ReShade and find the error message. A specific shader / Technique may made that crash.
- And like what already @superman224 explained (thanks for that info, mate!) that a specific shader / Technique crash may related to our GPU driver.

I'm also using driver v441.41 and Superdepth3D.fx get crashes on Reshade load (The error message that I've got from ReShade64.log, it said something related to vertex or something). That's only with Vulkan, with DX12 Superdepth3D.fx running so fine with any driver version.

Thanks for the update!

Been running Return to Castle Wolfenstein with ioRTCWx64 and Reshade. However, releases 4.5.0 and 4.5.1 are having trouble getting SMAA to work correctly, as in, the effect is not being applied at all to the game, whereas 4.4.2 does so.
Haven't tested on any other OpenGL game at the moment but will do so whenever I'm able to.

Edit: all other effects work as intended.

Hi, how do i do this?
You can now set "RESHADE_MODULE_PATH_OVERRIDE" to a directory for ReShade to load the next DLL, so you can chain ReShade with other injectors

So can i use reshade 4.5 +special k without modifing anything?

RAGE 2 (Vulkan) ReShade 4.5.1 works with the 441.66 driver! RAGE 2 (Vulkan) ReShade 4.5.1 started working MSI Afterburner! Wolfenstein Youngblood (Vulkan) ReShade 4.5.1 is detected, but when the main menu loads, the game crashes.

I tested the 4.5 release in Quake Live (OpenGL) and it does not work properly there. It is bugged, once you click performance mode all the shaders are disabled. 4.4.2 worked perfectly so I reinstalled that version.

4.5 works with Killing Floor 2 tho (DirectX 11).

I could not find any issues. The game works fine without reshade. But as soon as I install reshade the game will not load. The happens if i check enable reshade globally. If i dont check it the game will start but reshade would not be enabled. I am using vulkan in rdr2 and have installed reshade for vulkan. Could someone help me fix this?

Found a solution to stuttering in Doom. You need to toggle a working address in depth buffer section. Depth buffer works either way, but if you don't toggle then stutter is introduced.
