One thing to try is disabling any antialiasing.

I didn't nothing, I disabled antialiasing and I don't see the depth effects unlocked.

In the Games section says that is work Perfect, and there isn't a note saying that the depth buffer is unaccesible.

What resolution are you playing in? Dark Souls' depth buffer for example seems to work only in 1080p or below and doesn't show in 1440p, at least on my setup.

After a lot of experimenting I found a way to activate the depth buffer in Doom 3 BFG.
I tested this with the GOG version.
1) Start the game.
2) Open the console and type *set r_useHDR 0*
3) Restart the game.
4) Disable motion blur.
The depth buffer is now enabled.
