The sims 4 dof

I need help with reshade. So, I know in order to get the dof effect you have to turn off edge smoothing, but when I do that my Sims look very pixelated and rough 'round the edges. idk what to do, its my first time using reshade. My sims option and basically everything else is also on very high.

I don't know reshade very well (and English too, huh), BUT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM and I have some guesses about this problem. SO I guess this may be due to the low resolution of the screen, and even SMAA does not work very well with this. I also hope that this topic will be found by someone who is good at knowing reshade .･ﾟﾟ･(／ω＼)･ﾟﾟ･.
