ReShade Hotkey shift+F2 Not Working In Sims 4

so for some odd reason, reshade will not work on my sims 4. i'm having difficulties opening the menu in game. nothing would come up. i've used left and right shift. no one has helped me so far. i've tried other forums they are too technical for me. too many instructions.

The default hotkey for opening the menu in ReShade 4 has been changed to "Home" (or "Pos 1" on some keyboards).
