What do I do when renaming dxgi to d3d11 doesn't w

So I've been trying to run reshade on GTA V for the past half hour and it keeps crashing right after the social club login screen goes away. Many people have mentioned to rename the dxgi file to d3d11, but when I do that the game loads which is a positive, however the reshade menu doesn't open and the reshade isn't enabled. I was wondering if there is anything else I can do or try to fix this issue and get ReShade running. My specs are an i7-8750H, an RTX 2080, and 32GB of DDR4. Any help would be appreciated, thank you
