Good news: ReShade already works well in general with the D3D11 renderer approach for Gothic 2:

However, it can't access depth data, visualization of it just gives a blank screen.
Here is the tracelog:

Thanks!

Helle,
this issue is still there with version 0.19 and newer D3D11 renderer mod version.

And is there a chance that this might happen sometime in the future?

Maybe.
It's working pretty accurate currently and any change may break it completly, so I'm a bit cautious with touching it .

Ay, ok. That makes sense to me, thanks.
Will check if future changes for more popular new games will make any difference.

Gothic II has a directx11 rendering mod I am intrigued to say the least!
Is it opensource?

Hi
I'm gonna necro this thread because it shows up as first hit if you try to google for missing depth access Gothic 1 / 2.
For anyone how might also have trouble to get this working:
The latest direct X 11 Renderer that worked for me is version 17.7-dev20 .
With newer versions I had no luck getting proper depth.
Maybe this will help anyone. (I’m using Windows 10 and an RTX 3080)
Cheers
