Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone has any idea why I can't get reshade to work?

Specs:
Windows 10 64-bit
Geforce Gtx 1070 8GB
I7-6700k
16gb 3200hz ram
Gaming 5 mobo
Reshade installed with OpenGL

What happens is that I start NMS and reshade doesn't start with it. I just launch and the game is vanilla with no indications reshade is even installed. NMS is installed on my brand new SSD that I just got the other day. It seems like nothing is injecting whatsoever. I've been googling and scouring these forums and searching for like 3 days now and I've tried so many things to fix it. Please for the love of god someone come tell me what to do to fix it.

Things I've tried:

Disabling full screen optimization for nms.exe

launching in windowed, windowed borderless, and fullscreen mode

downloading 3 different older versions of reshade and clean installing into binaries folder

disabling steam overlay in game

disabling nvidia geforce experience overlay

randomly renaming opengl32 to ReShade32.dll and also tried opengl64 and reshade64

turning on administrator for launching NMS and for Reshade installer

deleting shadercache folder

disabling shadercache in nvidia control panel

uninstalling geforce experience

completely exiting out of MSI afterburner / Riva

ctrl clicking the installation process through reshade, extracting the reshade64 and 32 dlls manually into the NMS binaries folder

tried using ENB to inject it, not 100% sure I set it up properly but that didn't work either.

updated graphics drivers

deleted everything in binaries, verified game integrity

installed SweetFX instead of Reshade, the log.log file says if I installed everything correctly, I would see debug info instead of whats in there atm.

completely exiting out of flux

restarting PC

Trying ultra old NMSE

No Uplay, Origin, Epic launchers running. Only Steam

Do you have the Steam version of NMS ? If it is the case, it seems there is a conflict between the Steam vulkan overlay layer, and the Reshade vulkan layer.
I personnally have the Gog version, and Reshade works for me...

Just to be clear, as I don't think thalixte picked up on this (which is weird, since he's working on depth buffer detection for vulkan reshade!)

NMS with the beyond update moved to Vulkan from OpenGL.

Reshade does not currently support Vulkan.

Thalixte has a beta version you can try in his thread to use with NMS.

Yeah, that's about it.

Thks Martigen ! I have not seen that he was trying to use Reshade with NMS, thinking that the game always supported opengl.

Yes, NMS now supports only vulkan, and there is a WIP version of Reshade i proposed, only for testing purpose, but which seems to work correctly with No Man's Sky Beyond...

Any way I could download it somewhere? Thanks for the responses guys. I read that vulkan integration is going to be a HUGE job. If I could help I would

I hope I can help too. I loved reshade for no man sky,
It turned the game into a cinematic masterpiece.
But now with beyond it's far away from "visual perfection" :side: .

Would be happy to get access to it too :)
