ReShade doesn't even start for it. The setup exe crashes whenever you try to select the game exe and manual install doesn't hold any results.

Make sure that Origin overlay is disabled for the game.

Origin overlay should work fine now.
The setup tool isn't guarateed to work though, just do a manual installation: Where and how did you do that? DA:I is a D3D11 game as far as I know, so you would take the ReShade DLL (the 64bit one in this case, game is 64bit I think) and rename it to "dxgi.dll", then put it where the game executable is.
Somebody who owns the game may be of more help here (so please answer if you do), I know it should be working with it just fine, had multiple reports of it

DA:I works great with reshade 0.11 + Sweetfx and Martins DOF. All effects apply correctly and depth buffer grabbed as should!

So it seems something like setup or config issue to me.

I did exactly this and Origin overlay is disabled. Is there some file I may be missing? All I did was grab ReShade + Sweet FX 2.0. Is there like a preset or something I have to get from the forums to make it work?

If you grabbed "ReShade + Sweet FX 2.0" renamed "reshade64.dll" to "dxgi.dll" and copied it together with the "SweetFX" folder and "Sweet.fx" to your DA:I install dir where the " DragonAgeInquisition.exe" is then reshade must load just fiine without additional preset or config.

OH I figured out the issue. See I had a d3d9.dll already in the games directory which I renamed to dxgi INSTEAD of ReSdade64. It works fine now. Still don't understand why the setup version doesn't install though but at least manual is functional

I did the steps listed here, and when I launch DAI via origin the reshade message comes up notifying me that it is a beta etc. I clicked yes but nothing happens, game does not lauch at all and I cannot click 'play' again for DAI in origin.
EDIT: Well I got the game launched by using the 32bit reshade and renaming it to dxgi.dll.
But there is no visual change ingame, I cannot toggle anything.
EDIT 2: NVM I have got sweetFX working using the Powerplay x64 eFX sweetFX files and nothing else needed, no reshade or configurator etc.
