Issues with RBM in Halo CE

I'm trying to use the RBM effect in Halo CE, but I don't think it is working as intended. Rather than getting reflections on surfaces, there are godray-esque beams coming off of everything (HUD, weapon, surfaces). Any idea what might be causing this?
