While playing Killing Floor 1 (dx8 game) today, I noticed that the screenshots that I took with the Steam Overlay already had the effects.

Will, someday in the Future, other games do that as well? Is so handy...

This entirely depends on whether ReShade is loaded before or after the Steam overlay. Basically pure luck.
