In other versions of ME the key is defined in the MasterEffect.h file, with the line

#define MASTEREFFECT_TOGGLEKEY 0x20

that seems to be absent in v1.1.115. You can try adding it at the beginning of the file. "0x20" corresponds to the Space key, you can find the codes corresponding to other keys in the documentation of the Reshade+SweetFX package.
If that doesn't work you may need to update to a newer version of MasterEffect.

You should definitely update to a newer version as there are numerous bug fixes, performance improvements and new effects with each update.
