Shaders not being applied on save. [solved] was created by Quawk
Too long for subject, haha, my shaders aren't being applied on save but if I enable/disable shaders and then apply a global setting like toggling the FPS display then it updates. Or I can enable/disable shader settings then quit and reload my game. ;_;
"S:\Apps\ReShade\ReShade.fx(10, 2): preprocessor warning: Could not find application profile, falling back to default" appeared in a log file I didn't see.

As the log says, ReShade cannot find an existing profile in the ReShade location and therefore uses the default one.
At the moment the default profile is always pointing to the default preset which is probably why your changes in another preset do not apply to your game.
To solve this, make sure ReShade is installed in a dedicated folder ìn order to centralized manage any app/game. Then add your/any target application as a profile to the Assistant. This will allow ReShade to find the profile and related preset once you start an app/game

When I have auto-save disabled, and I change FPS display to 1 and save it doesn't refresh it. But if I have auto-save enabled and change FPS value it updates the shaders in the program. It's like the save button simply isn't working. I ran as Admin, thought that would do something. I checked the profiles folder and it did make a bsnes folder and global.cfg and profile.ini files.

I supose the .exe file is also called bsnes?
What if you press ctrl+S for the save shortcut.
When you click, you are asked to confirm the action by clicking the button again though I guess you have noticed that.
When you select the bsns profile in the Assistant you have to select you target profile too, so the Assistant links those to and tells ReShade which profile to load (by default thats the default profile).

True, I will see if there is another way to highlight it but it protects users from mis-clicks. (was already introduced in the previous tool on request)
Ctrl+S you have to click actively so you know what your are doing.
Auto-Save is supposed to save any change anyway.

Yeah I have auto-save clicked but it only auto-saves for global settings and not for specific applications. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hm? So auto-save is enabled, you selected a preset, changed a variable of a shader and it did not save it?
EDIT: It currently does not work for shader activation/deactivation but will be fixed in the next update.
