GPU Usage jumps up to 80-99% Usage with Reshade on

I'm not sure what the issue is or how to absolve it. I noticed it on Dark Souls 3, and I decided to test it with an older game; being Deus Ex Human Revolution.. Normally the gpu usage on DX with RS off is around 30-40%, a bit higher on Dark Souls. I also use SLI if that might have anything to do with the issue. I use two 970's, 4gb of Vram on each card, 8gb total. I get better performance using Alternate Frame Rendering 2 if that could be the issue as well.
