I've done a good bit of searching, and I strongly suspect that the answer here is basically, "Welp, you're SOL," but I'm nothing if not stubborn.
I use ReShade for several other games. I have the issue where I have to rename the dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll (or d3d9.dll for DirectX 9 games, accordingly). I was aware of that already, but once the dll has been renamed I've never had a problem in any of the other games that I use ReShade for. But with Dragon Age: Inquisition, once I rename the dll, the game will start up fine but ReShade still isn't working. No message on the screen and no change in graphics. I've seen a few queries with what looked like similar issues marked as resolved, but in all of those cases the person either hadn't tried something I've already tried (renaming the dll) or the issue to begin with was their mistake. Because I can get it working fine with the same method in other games, I can confirm that this isn't the case. Anyone out there had any luck finding a work around? (I do have Fraps, but it is not running; the Origin overlay is turned off as well as the Nvidia GeForce one. It makes no difference if the game is in windowed or full screen mode.)
(I'm not counting on anyone ever resolving the dxgi.dll issue some of us experience, but if someone has actually figured that out, it would be delightful as well.)
