Portal 2 Crashes on launch

I put the ReShade files in both the 'Portal 2' and 'bin' folder, which worked for both Half-Life 2 and Portal, but as soon as I launch Portal 2, it simply fails to launch. As soon as I remove the d3d9.dll from the 'bin' folder, it launches just fine. Am I doing something wrong?

Ping on this!!! Having the same issue, as if Steam knew about the mod and would block the game from starting!

I don't have this issue. Both portal games working very well. I own them on steam (of course not pirated). What is your Windows version? It may be the cause here (I'm using 7).
