I try to apply ReShade to "Blockland.exe" using "ReShade Setup.exe" but it replies that it cannot copy the file "Sweet.fx", which does exist.
Any way to fix this or something that I'm doing wrong?

Do you have the required rights to write to files in that directory?
Otherwise just do a manual installation (check the readme on how) =)

How can you tell if it works?

You'll get a disclaimer messagebox when first starting and from then on an information message in the top left corner of the game telling you that ReShade is initializing (goes away after a few seconds).

That means somehow it's still not working.
I am running on Blockland (via steam) and have paired it to Blockland.exe in the Steam folder.
It runs OpenGL and I followed the manual install instructions.

Are you sure it's OpenGL? Wikipedia tells me the game uses the Torque Game Engine, which runs off Direct3D9 under Windows.
Also, can you post a screen of your directory layout? Have you renamed the correct DLL (the game is probably 32bit, so you need ReShade32.dll)? =)

EDIT: According to Steam it uses OpenGL, alright then.

I'm pretty sure it's OpenGL, in the game's options it lists that it is running OpenGL, and the .dll it uses is OpenGL32.dll and I have replaced it with ReShade32.dll

The "shaders" folder comes with the game as it's the base shaders it uses with the game, nothing related to the injectors

What happens if you move ReShade into the "base" folder?
Also, try out some other DLL names, d3d9.dll, dxgi.dll, etc.

After quite some testing we figured out it wasn't working because of an application called "Razer Cortex" running in the background, which appearently blocks ReShade for whatever reason.

If: "Unable to copy file ReShade32.dll" (or ReShade.fx) — try:

It is no longer relevant, but:

Just try running "ReShade Setup.exe" (and only this single file) from any other folder (i.e., not from the game folder directly) — so everything began to work

* "ReShade Setup.exe" — at next the program versions are a separate and independent program and the only file, so it’s probably there too — so it will work correctly from any place (and not just from the game folder)
