ReShade not working on Minecraft 1.8.9 (Forge)

Doing everything correctly, chose OpenGL in setup, chose to install to javaw.exe, what is causing this?

"Not working" meaning "does not get loaded"? As I understand it, Minecraft Forge is merely a tool that loads mods, and not the main game. You may have chosen the wrong exe. Load Minecraft and check with Task Manager the name of the executable. That is the one you want to choose when installing ReShade.
