so i just found out that ambient occlusion can be achieved using reshade so i tried to applying it on final fantasy iv 3d (that game is really lack on post processing effect) and it works no problem so far, on the other hand this little jrpg called trails from zero appears to be different case. it just wont work on it, i have tried using depthdisplay to find out the problem and so far changing this specific value on the global preprocessor doesnt really help. and yeah, when i enabled mxao i am pretty sure nothing changing on my screen, same thing even when i changed the parameter in it.

but the thing is i also tried gloomao and the shader seems to work even tho its result rather minimalistic and so pointless because of that. but it did change tho whenever i changed the parameters value specificly the depth multiplier.

oh also, i am using the latest version of reshade

i got the fix kinda... its not really affecting what being displayed on displaydepth, which is still full black on the right side. but this time atleast mxao works for some reason.
dxvk is what did it for me. the game using d3d11 so i remembered that i read somewhere about api affecting depth buffer. so for now it kinda works but the result is not as good as the one on final fantasy iv 3d, but again i think its still decent overall.

i feel like this isnt a complete fix tho. thanks anyway reshade is awesome.
