Hi all,I play
ENTHUSIA Professional Racing on
PCSX2 (DX12 renderer) and the stock Generic Depth add-on kept losing the depth buffer: the correct buffer changes resolution between menu and race, so auto-detection kept jumping (lowest/highest vertices, reversed/not-reversed) or went dark until I re-pinned it manually. So I forked
examples/09-depth/generic_depth_addon.cpp
into a standalone
(no ReShade recompile needed). Everything the built-in does, plus:
- Draw stats heuristic: , (empty stats always lose)
- Filter by reversed depth:
Any / Prefer reversed / Exclude reversed
()
- Aspect ratio heuristic →
Match custom width and height range
: min–max filter for width and height ([DEPTH] FilterResolutionMinWidth/MaxWidth/MinHeight/MaxHeight
, = no limit on that side). This was the key fix for PCSX2 – e.g. min , max keeps the right buffer while the height moves around.
- Auto refresh every N frames (
[DEPTH] AutoRefreshFrames
, default 600, = off): restarts detection from scratch so a selection stuck after a scene change (menu → race) gets re-picked automatically. Skipped while a manual override checkbox is active.
Install: put
next to
(or your
) and disable the built-in one in
, otherwise two detectors fight over the same data and it crashes on startup:
[ADDON]
DisabledAddons=Generic Depth
It shows up in the overlay as
Generic Depth Ex. Source + CI build (Windows x64, generated from clean upstream, no vendored binaries): [link your TEST repo / release with the .addon64].Tested on RTX 4080, ReShade 6.8.0, PCSX2 DX12. Feedback welcome – especially if the range filter / auto-refresh helps other emulators too.
