I've always used dxgi. (64-bit)
Just be aware sometimes BattlEye will detect it and prevent the game from launching. Typically this only happens after a patch is released, but it works again after a day or two. I also use version 3.0.6.165 since it seems the newest releases and some of the older ones get detected more often. Never experimented too much with it though.

Using the installer? Rainbow uses DirectX 11, so pick the option that says "Direct3D 10+"
