DgVoodoo2 With ReShade

I'm just wanting to make sure I have the right steps for using older DirectX 1-7 games with DgVoodoo2/ReShade.

1. Download the latest DgVoodoo2
2. Copy the contents of MS sub folder into the game's installation directory
3. Download and install the latest ReShade to specific game, selecting Direct 3D 10+
4. Open game (If it won't open its just not compatible and there is nothing else to try?)

This seems overly simple so I'm thinking I must be missing something.. I would absolutely love to enjoy the benefits of ReShade with my older games but do not want to mess up my PC in the process so any and all help with steps I'm missing/not following correctly is so greatly appreciated.

That's pretty much it. Always try the game first with dgVoodoo2 only and install ReShade only after you confirmed the game is launching properly. ReShade should never cause a crash on startup, it's a bug if it does.

Thank you SO much! I'm impressed with how crazy easy implementing so great is. Knock on wood! Lol So if it crashes or won't open/launch but will with just DgVoodoo2 then somehow the game is just incompatible for whatever ReShade does? With a wrapper making every DirectX available is this pretty rare?

If it doesn't crash with dgVoodoo2 alone, but only after adding ReShade, then that's a bug and you should report which game this happens with.
