Cannot locate or change presets

I have version 4.5.4. and everything seems to be loading and running properly. My paths to Shaders and Textures is working and I can see all the shaders loaded. I have several presets loaded in the main directory of X-Plane 11, BUT, I cannot see where to change the presets. I do Shift+F2 and I get the correct screen with the HOME page etc. but no indication where or how to change the loaded presets. I press the HOME key and it takes a screen shot. I'm at a loss for things to try next. Any ideas what I a doing wrong???
