Disable Console UI on game launch?

Is it possible to disable the Console UI on game launch? It opens in the top left when launching a game.

It doesn't appear to go away unless I hit "Home" and click on a few things. Not sure what I'm clicking on. The text is too low rez/blurry to make out.
