ReShade has full depth access in GTA 5, just needs the right shaders which support it: reshade.me/forum/shader-discussion/516-r...ased-5102-04-19-1281 =)

Hey guys , sorry for double post. Did anyone noticed that in GTA Online , depth buffer seems un-available? That's weird :(

Not weird at all. Quote from the home page: "ReShade provides a generic way to access both color and depth information (latter is automatically disabled during multiplayer to prevent exploitation)". =)

Aaallll right that's clearing things up.. Although I don't see how a DOF effect can be used as an exploit :cheer:

How is that even the same thing? I don't see how DoF can be used as an exploit. That's a complex cheat for BF4. Someone please explain if I am missing the point, but I just don't see how you could create an exploit with a DoF shader.

its not the dof shader its the fact if a player model has info that can be picked up in the depth you can track them im sure if there was a work around on this it would be allowed but currently there is not it sucks a lot i know i would like to work on a game myself but im unable to do it

Stuff like this is impossible because once the characters leave the screen, there is no trace of them in depth buffer or color buffer. Way more problematic is highlighting characters that sit in bushes etc so they are camouflaged but we can see them because of an orange outline or something like that. Or a depth measuring shader that allows better sniping like if you know that guy is 500m away you need to aim that high above him etc.
