Goodday,
Thought I would pass this along, even though most
will have already heard of this:
www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-announc...age-scaling-sdk.html
'For the past two years, NVIDIA has offered a driver-based spatial upscaler called
NVIDIA Image Scaling and Sharpening, for all your games, that didn't require game
or SDK integrations to work.
With the new November GeForce Game Ready Driver, we have improved the scaling and
sharpening algorithm to now use a 6-tap filter with 4 directional scaling and
adaptive sharpening filters to boost performance.'
So a non AI upscaler / sharpening solution, or variation on AMD's fsr by
utilizing a 'a 6-tap filter with 4 directional scaling '.
The code can be found here:
github.com/NVIDIAGameWorks/NVIDIAImageSc...ain/NIS/NIS_Scaler.h
Must say it looks a tad gpu intensive and getting it to work in reshade might
prove to be well... impossible, maybe someone who actually works for Nvidia
could have a go at it....
But then again reshade doesn't upscale alas.
Still might be educational.
