So i was looking around in ways of making new games look old, and i've found that one of the effects i miss on my list here is Bloom.
The PS2 had a very specific way of doing those due to its powerful (yet limited) hardware, i've found some documents on that here:

Anyone wants to take on it? The trick is on the blending mode of the PS2 as far as i understood, since the concept is still the basic Threshold + Gaussian Blur + mix and then blend.
