TOPIC: Enb + ReShade in Skyrim chasing shadows

Enb + ReShade in Skyrim chasing shadows 11 months 3 weeks ago #1

Hi all. I'm a relative newcomer to reshade, made some presets for assassin's creed but other than that I'm a total newb.

I've been struggling to get ReShade working simultaneously with Enb in Skyrim.

I've read pretty much every topic I can find on the net on the issue, yet none of the solutions seem to solve my problem.

I set ReShade as a proxy library in Skyrim, reshade_d3d9.dll enableproxy=true and init=false,

the games loads alright and both reshade and enb effects are working,

however I get this bug where shadows chase the screen leaving an imprint of a previous frame in game on the new frame, also the game fps drops way low when it drags the imprint over to the new frame, making it hard to turn the camera around.

I read on nexus forums that setting bdeferredshadows in the skyrimprefs ini to 0 would solve the problem.

didn't work

tried disabling shadows entirely

didn't work

I also tried a shadow stripping fix mod and that didn't work either.

Does anyone have any idea on how I can get the shadow problem to go away? It happens regardless of whether I have effects loaded in the pipeline or not.

Thanks. :)

There is a bug with reshade and skyrim.
Only semisolution is - go to skyrimprefs.ini and set bDeferredShadow to 0 instead 1
For this make some distance shading being shimmering, and when i used just enb, disabled deffered shadow cause some bad shadow stripping glitch.

Now i use just enb and sweetfx, because they in chain works and do not produce shadow glitches.

I feel your pain, I've been going at it all day to make this work. I did get it to work by using the Injector version of ENB, so ReShade's d3d9.dll would load. It works fine with the ini fix mentioned. But, using that ini fix also breaks ENB's day/night/sunrise/sunset ambient lighting so you can't change it... my favorite feature of ENB.
