FFXIV weird shadows when loading new area or stages

This is kind of hard to describe, but I'll do my best. This didn't used to happen until I started using shaders for ffxiv, and it's not game breaking or anything, but it is a tad annoying. When I'm loading into the game after logging in or when a stage change or something happens in battle happens, (moments where there would just be a black screen or something like that) it will have the outlines of things that I'm loading into. 

i.e. during a trial, there's a stage change and there's supposed to be a black screen as a transition cutscene.

Any idea what could be causing this?
