Deband.fx and Gamescope

Hey guys,

There's very little information on the internet about how to use reshade effects with gamescope other than set the --reshade-effect and --reshade-technique-idx variables, but my issue is I can run the effects but I don't know how to troubleshoot what's being told to me by Reshade.

Example, when I try to use Deband.fx, I get this error:

gamescope_reshade: Couldn't find texture with name: V__ReShade__BackBufferTex
gamescope_reshade: Couldn't find texture with name: V__ReShade__DepthBufferTex

I know gamescope is using it because I see the letterbox bars but nothing is rendered. I know the app works because I can see the logs and blindly hitting enter gets me into my session. I can also verify it with gamescope logs, I'm guessing because gamescope can't find those texture files nothing is rendering. When I try to run TriDither.fxh I get an invalid technique index and have no idea how to set it to the right one. Has anyone tried to use Deband.fx and gamescope? My goal is to use it with moonlight streaming to reduce the awful banding that happens and the screenshots for Deband made it look real appetizing.


This particular issue with gamescope was confirmed by gamescope as not supporting depthbuffer effects. So I'm not sure what effects gamescope can support, but anything altering game stuff won't work.
