Thank you in advance.

Since ReShade 6.5.1, using a Fanatec steering wheel (CSL DD 8Nm) in rFactor 2 causes CPU usage to reach 100%, resulting in rendering and simulation delays that make driving unplayable.

Changing “use thread” to false in the game's controller.json settings file improves CPU usage to around 70%. However, this issue did not occur with ReShade 6.5.0 or earlier, and on my PC, normal CPU usage was around 10%.

Note that this issue occurs simply by installing ReShade 6.5.1 or later without loading any presets.

Additionally, disconnecting the steering wheel restores normal CPU usage.

Is it possible to fix this issue in future versions?

This is my post on the game forum.

There's one other person there with the same issues.

Thanks for narrowing it down to a specific version! Based on this I'm expecting this to fix it: github.com/crosire/reshade/commit/00b9ce...6888b3cde4ff91029a4b
I'd appreciate if you could verify with an updated build: github.com/crosire/reshade/actions/runs/...artifacts/4912377439

What a quick response!
After testing the ReShade test build you provided, the rFactor 2 issue I reported is completely resolved!
If you could incorporate this fix into the next official build, I believe other rFactor 2 + Fanatec device + ReShade users will be delighted.
I sincerely appreciate your outstanding support!
