I've been modding GTA 4 (with the pathtracing mod and fusionfix etc) and I really wanted to install reshade but I've been troubleshooting this for so long and I truly have no idea what to do. I can't install the dx9 version because d3d9.dll is absolutely necessary and cannot be renamed or my screen on gta 4 becomes black or the game doesn't launch- therefore I installed vulkan (i also tried 10/11/12) so I can have dxgi.dll instead. I got so close to where the notification of reshade being installed came up, but it says it can't detect my keyboard (a message I have never gotten before) and it tells me to press the "right and left shoulder and start" which, upon pressing, does absolutely nothing. I pressed all the buttons on my controller, a controller I know works because I've tested it and set up a macro with rewasd to press RB LB and start only for nothing to happen again. I thought the issue started with the rockstar launcher being binded to home but after editing the reshade ini file to be the "-" key it still gives me the message that it cannot detect my keyboard and mouse. I feel like I've tried everything, and I have no idea what to try next. Please give me suggestions or a fix or something or anything.
