I installed Reshade 6.8 with addon support earlier today as I have done dozens of times before in Sons of the Forest. Ever since then every other game I launch Reshade with only wants to read out of that directory. Any other game I launch will only search SotF's directory for addons, shaders, etc. It happens on old installs and new ones; tried deleting everything out of SotF but it still tries to search there, even games ran from a different drive entirely. The only solution is to rename SotF at which point other games search their own directories. What could be causing this?

Fix your effect/texture search paths in the ReShade settings.
As for the cause, if you have a ReShade.ini sitting in the same directory as the ReShade setup tool, it will use that as a template for all installs. So if that ReShade.ini has the search paths pointing to SotF, any subsequent install will default to that too.

search paths are all the default ./ & ./** for all games so they *should* just be searching within the game that is launched, right? Nothing other than the .exe in the installer folder either, no stray .ini files I can find.
