Fallout 3 Crashing 4.0.2

Whenever I launch the game with Reshade installed the game always crashes. I have narrowed the issue down to the file d3d9.dll. Whenever the stock d3d9.dll file is there (which means Reshade doesn't work), I do not crash. Whenever I install Reshade, the game crashes on load. I thought it would work since the compatibility list says that Fallout 3 works, so I was wondering if there is any way to use this version of Reshade on Fallout 3.

I found a solution, at least for me,

it was "Disable full Screen Optimizations" in the Compatibility Properties of the Fallout3.exe file
I prefer that checked but it seems incompatible with Reshade, so leave it unchecked

two weeks late but someone with the same error will find this thread
