Eve Online - How to apply ReShade? was created by Nightfall Zero
Hey guys,
I am trying to apply ReShade to EVE Online.
I remember it working in the past, back with 2.0 version or something - however it does not seem to work anymore.
Still, while I am unable to find information on the net concerning HOW to make it work, I can find videos and screenshots of people using it.
I have tried everything - switching to DX9, and stuff like that.
Do you have any advice? I am kinda desperate
Thanks!

What do you mean by saying it doesn't work anymore? Reshade interface doesn't show up when you launch the game or it just crashes?

Hey.
It just does not get applied. The game does not crash, it just starts up normally as if ReShade was never applied. It does not load up, the UI does not pop up, etc.
It has absolutely zero effect.
I have tried applying it to both the .exe and the Launcher, using DX9, DX11, and OpenGL.
Yet, there are people who somehow managed to make it work - I just don't understand how, and the Internet is just silent about it.

.dll reshade's files are there in game's folder? If yes try following this guide (point 2)
reshade.me/forum/troubleshooting/3293-co...-and-their-solutions
However, if older versions works, then It's possible that Reshade 4.0+ has to be whitelisted yet. In that case you'll have to roll back to a working version, waiting for the lastest to be whitelisted.

Tried the Injector
Still don't understand.

That's pretty weird...
Even with older versions it still keeps not working?
If you tried them and it still keeps not working either you are missing something during installation or the game got some update that conflicts with reshade (it happaned to me in warframe: the game deleted d3d11.dll file once it ran, so I had to give admin permissions).

I just tried it using version 4.1.1 and it works fine. When you install reshade and it asks you to select a game make sure you point it to the correct game file as such; EVE Online\SharedCache\tq\bin\evefile.exe. That way it correctly puts the reshade-shaders folder and the dxgi.dll and etc files in the correct folder which is EVE Online\SharedCache\tq\bin. After selecting the game file during the installation process you then select dx10+ if you're using dx11 or select dx9 if you're using dx9 and reshade should now be installed.
Fyi i'm using dx11 of eve online. I have changed nothing in regards to eve itself as it was not required. I just installed reshade 4.1.1 as stated above and choose the dx10+ option. I tried all the effects and most of them worked. Not a single crash or lockup. Once they get the 64 bit version of the game working you need to move the files or just reinstall to the bin64 folder. Although if you reinstall i'd suggest any saved variable files be moved over from the bin folder to the bin64 folder to save time reconfiguring. This is if you actually did create a profile.
At the character select screen and or ingame hit your HOME button to bring up the reshade options and follow the instructions. Do the tutorial and DO NOT change the paths as they should work fine if you leave them alone as we already correctly placed the files in the correct spot during installation.
If you want to use reshade on the other servers ie the Singularity Test Server for example then install Reshade to the correct bin folder for those as well, as such for Singularity; EVE Online\SharedCache\sisi\bin
Please note that i do NOT use steam. I am however using MSI Afterburner to include the overlay with no issues.

EVE finally has a 64bit exe. I tried moving the files and this didn't work. I reinstalled to the bin64 folder and it's working as before.
