Reshade + AC Odyssey + HDR = bad combo was created by OmegaDr1ve
Hi, just registered , couldn't find my answer anywhere in the forums or Google, so here is the problem:
I started pyaing this game recently and love it so far, especially with my QLED TV, but after many hours of troubleshooting I discovered that AC Odyssey with HDR enabled doesn't display correctly with ANY app that displays an overlay when the app is in full screen exclusive mode, this includes Microsoft's own Full screen Optimization setting, Steam, Origin, Rivatuner statics server or Reshade in this case.
The thing is as you know the included AA in this game is a horrible blurry mess, I prefer playing with it off and endure the aliasing, but decided to try Reshade and OMG! with only the LumaSharpen + SMAA shaders game looks beautiful and can't see a performance impact (playing 1440p), but without HDR game feels bland and uninspiring.
So my question is, can I configure Reshade in game, exit and then reload game with the shaders but WITHOUT the Reshade UI overlay?
Reshade UI is basically forcing the game to run windowed full screen instead of full screen exclusive, the game detects this and the HDR signal is not processed properly and game looks like crap with wrong color values and gamma ramps.
Examples:
HDR Only
HDR + Any Overlay (in this case only Reshade)
Please help, I really want to use Reshade, thanks.

I don't believe that is possible. Have you instead tried to alt+tab? Also, if I remember correctly, you can disable the Reshade pop-up through the Reshade menu.
Also, just a heads up, most shaders don't actually work in HDR mode. They usually look incorrect due to the 10 bit color space and HDR brightness, making the game look "incorrect". There are only a few that actually work in HDR, but even then not perfectly. From my testing, these are the only shaders that work in HDR mode (and even then, they may have a few artifacts, like sharpening more around highlights as an example):
If you can't get Reshade to work at all, then have you attempted to use Assassin's Creed Odyssey's TAA along with Image Sharpening through NVIDIA Control Panel? Or if you have an AMD card, does AMD's CAS work with AC: Odyssey?
