FPS drop

I think reshade has been causing my computer frames to drop drastically for a few seconds. (not just in game, my whole computer) im not very computer techy, i just want my game to be brighter to help me see better. can someone please help? thank you.

well, reshade in no way makes your fps better. It either stays the same or make it worse. If it lags for a couple of seconds then there might be something conflicting. make sure you are using the brightness shader and have no other shaders turned on. There is also a performance option for reshade located in the lower right corner of the reshade menu.
