This was originally on Shaders & Effects thread, I deleted it as it was on the wrong section, it should have been under Reshade section.

This is while using reshade version: 5.5.2:Under Add-ons, when you select the box where it says: Copy depth buffer before clear operations, there is other selections to choose from, namely the resolution, for some reason or reasons and I also tried this with reshade 4.9.1, lets say your playing @ 4k (2160p), the only selection that comes close to it says: 4096X4096 but that won't work, it will make the shaders themselves won't display properly, rarely at times, I can choose the proper resolution, but soon as I load my saved file, the resolution I see the most is 4096x4096, If I change my resolution and still keep it under the option menu, it will show properly, but, soon as I exit out the option menu and go back to the game, it goes back to 4096x4096.Originally I thought the Forced AA through Nvidia Inspector: MSAA+SGSSAA was probably the culprit, absolutely not.The game is using Alot Mod + Merlin. Also, under Gamersettings, under the line where it says: TEXTUREGROUP, there is lines that says: MaxLODSize=4096, do you think this is causing it?It seems to be triggered, right after the cut-scene that goes directly to the boss, it is during this time and afterwards, the resolution that is selectable is 4096x4096 & 2048x2048, I loaded a saved file prior to the boss fight, it seems the resolution: 3840x2160 is selectable, its only certain situation that this will happen.I have also tried: reshade versions: 5.4.2 & 4.9.1, still have the same problem.

Also, on the legendary edition of Mass Effect 2, it will show the correct resolution but it will have flickering symptoms, similar to the DX9 version, again, this only pertains to specific areas in the game. On the DX9 version, if you load the saved area in question that has this particular symptom and load a saved game to another area, for example, Normandy, it will show incorrect resolution but this usually is fixed when I exit out the game and then reload the correct saved game area, this usually fixes the issue.

Those are shadow maps, not the scene depth buffer, and should be ignored.
