Hogwarts Legacy low performance even without effects (Depthbuffer freaking out) was created by Wez22
Performance drops (from 90+ to 74 , on my system) when Reshade is toggled on, even with no effects enabled.

I don't know how Reshade works exactly, but I am guessing the problem has something to do with the DepthBuffer because with Reshade toggled on it looks like it is applying 2 depth buffers
The screenshot here is actually a lie. Ingame the 1926x836 below the one being used in the screenshot is also being used and showing 428 draw cells as well.
And the very bottom depthbuffer (128x128) is missing in the screenshot but is flickering on/off ingame

Thought it might be a DLSS issue, but it occurs with DLSS off also.
Have tested with latest Reshade and 1 previous

I have exactly the same issue.
Tried different versions of ReShade and some older workarounds I found but nothing did work out.
The only thing that helped for some time was to tick one of the Resolution Draws on the Addon Tab (seems not to matter which one). After that the FPS went up to what they would be when Reshade is deactivated.
But the checkbox gets unticked from time to time.

I do not exactly know how the Depth Buffer works, but after I deactivated it under Addons and restarted the Game the FPS Drops seems to be gone. Can't see any difference so this might be a (noobish) workaround?
Edit: As long as you do not use anything that requires depth buffering this workaround will work, I guess. The Effects I use seem not to require it and everything is fine.
