error X4509:

Hi,
I've used Reshade and parcticular presets for a few months now. Never had any trouble.
But recently I went to redownload it. The error ''error X4509: maximum sampler register index exceeded, target has 16 slots, manual bind to slot s16 failed'' came up. I went and tried to fix it myself by researching on Google etc. It's been a few days now and I still can't figure out what I have to do to fix this issue.
I hope someone can answer me. Oh and I'm a newbie on this topic so please try to explain as easy as possible. When i read other topics about this problem I had no idea what people were talking about haha. Probably also one of the reason I couldn't fix it myself.
And yes I checked all of the effect boxes, if that's important information.

That effect is simply not supported in D3D9, which your game is using it seems.
I'm guessing this is about CinematicDOF, which was recently updated and that update removed D3D9 support. Only way to solve that is to use an old version of the effect: github.com/FransBouma/OtisFX/blob/c7a72d...ders/CinematicDOF.fx
But if you are not using the effect anyway, can also just remove the file.

I'm sorry. I'm back with a question haha. I use CinamaticDof a lot so i wanted to get the old version like you told me. Now what I can't seem to figure out is how to get the older version into my game?
Is there a download button on the link you shared with me? Because i couldn't find it.
