Hi,

I love Reshade and its community, first very thank for exist :). I use Resahde on different games from TESO, Skyrim, Warcraft Reforged, WoW Ascension (custom WoW proyect)

I play WoW Ascenion, a custom unique WoW server, I use Reshade 5.5.0 addon version, the addon version means it has the features of "display depth" allowed, I use this version because Reshade 5.5.0 (non addon version) gave me flickering of 1 second randomly, this happens when the game gets "high connection activity" so the non addon version is built in a way that "deactivate" some stuff (effects) when perceives high network activity (to prevent bans on official online games), as consequence playing an online game with Reshade 5.5.0 (non addon version) if you use certain effects you are going to get flickering, that is very annoying. With the non addon version the problem of flickering was solved and WoW Ascension as its a custom WoW project it allows Reshade.

I'm starting to get into reshade universe, I'v been using it since some time, I love visual stuff and creativity, using rehsade in a game is literally improving the visual game experience, is like having a photoshop inside a game and you can customize it in real time, I've spent long time into creating my custom presets for the games I play, there is a lot of effort and time there :), although I'm just starting to get into technical language and how reshade works.

I have the following questions (if you use technical language I appreciate it even more, correcy me harshly if you need lol, really I appreciate it :) ), but first I'm going to give a very brief description of my reshading WoW Ascension procedures:
- I use a series of effects/shaders the idea was to get a "realistic" visual version of WoW, the result is this:
pasteboard.co/uK1QIveFDLYr.png
pasteboard.co/LPm8ec5fGz2c.png

- With the non addon version, what I did to partially fix the flickering was to go to reshade ui menu, tab addons then I mark check one option of the "draw cells" (I appreciate if you want to share some technical knowledge about that topic of draw cells, display depth, etc), so usually were two kinds:
- |2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices
- |1920x1080|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices
I selected the |2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices, as I selected it, I also noticed it looked better, but for the non addon version of the reshade worked for short time, then I still got flickering, so I installed the non addon version the flickering was fixed, but I noticed the "|2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices" did't last, with that mark checked the visuals looks better more detailed, I also use Emphazie effect, I use that due I like how it looks, makes the visuals less saturated in a particular way (different than other desaturation effects), the Emphazie effect has something that affects the "distant land" but in this game it affects directly the distant land trees and where is most noticeable the sky. To make it simple here are the following screenshots:
pasteboard.co/KYlAL0zSHXGT.png  this is with mark check ☑|2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices
pasteboard.co/Jl1icedD5ODy.png      this is with unchecked  □
If you notice the sky looks dark blue when is mark checked |2048x2048|  D24x8 |... and brown when is unchecked, and also the "render" looks more detailed when the option is checked and less detailed when is unchecked.
The differences on the sky is due the Emphasize effect, this happens due this effect recognizes some "distant land" by a range, I like how the visuals look with Emphasize and
with that check mark activated ☑|2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> verticesthe

the questions are:
- where can I get some information about |2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices, |1920x1080|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices, Generic depth
- is there a way to run the game permanently "rendered" as "|2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells"? is there an effect/shader, addon, etc. to run the game permanently as that?
- what really means the |2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices, |1920x1080|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices, what is really happening, the background process of it, where can I get information to know more about the draw cells and what does that mean?

Will be great someone could give me at least some glances about the questions

Thanks!!

Well as I talk alone (xD ) here is some link about Display depth, it could be useful for someone looking something similar reshade.me/forum/shader-discussion/4810-...s-in-displaydepth-fx

I got an issue due I was doing something wrong, I wasn't configuring Display Depth and also I was wrong about emphasize, I just want the game look with some "realistic visuals", so emphasize did something about desaturate color but it wasn't the proper effect for that, the thing was when I used emphasize and I |check mark 2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices, the game look cool close to as I wanted. I did some reasearch  reshade.me/forum/shader-discussion/4810-...s-in-displaydepth-fx , so I apply the proper Display Depth settings steps, so as result I got fixed the emphazise on sky and distant land, is like it got permanently fixed, but the truth is that emphasize now needs other parameters, the thing is the game looks a lot better applying properly Display Depth on that guide, and instead of using emphazise I'm going to try other effects, also the |2048x2048|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices and |1920x1080|  D24x8 | draw cells (       ) ----> vertices is another topic... lol
Here is how it looks now, although I'm going to try to add more desaturation and other effects

 I hope this post helps to clear confusion to someone
