Somehow I have it installed twice. So in my game folder I have Reshade and ReShade2. I've unistalled it checking every version of unistall dx9, vulcan etc. Even using version 6 to uninstall it. Checked game files,ok. Unistalling it the game works fine but trying to reinstall after uninstall still gives two versions. I've searched the web for answers but they are over 6 years old and the files (.dll) they say to delete don't exist in the game folder at any point installed or otherwise. This is for Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

You haven't installed twice. This is how ReShade works, the game creates multiple presentation surfaces and as such ReShade creates multiple instances of itself, each of which gets its own numbered config file.

ReShade and ReShade2 both have a references to an INI file. When the game starts it runs both of the INI files. So if I hit "HOME" and bring up the menu and turn it off the other INI reshades are still running. Now, if I edit Reshade config file to point towards an empty INI and Reshade2 to the file I want to use, then when the game starts it still runs both but with one INI being empty, just the one INI reshades are loaded. Only issue is any edit of the ini during that time will corrupt it.

Doing some digging. The game folder is not the only place ReShade files are installed to.

This is not the case. I was able to unistall the second iteration of ReShade. Now with one Reshade, the program works properly. There is no longer a ReShade2 in the folder.
