So i just installed reshade for the sims 4 a few minutes ago, and it had finally downloaded all the presets correctly, so i was playing around with them, and there was one effect that i do not remember the name of, but when i clicked on it, it blue screened my computer and shut it down. thankfully, recovery mode kicked in and saved it, but as soon as my computer turned back on, i uninstalled both reshade and the sims 4. i am scared to redownload reshade in fear that i might get a virus from having it on my game. i just got this PC two days ago as a gift from my dad and i would really not like to receive malware of any kind on this computer. i may redownload reshade again in the future, but for right now, i am just going to use average lighting mods for the sims 4 until i decide to download this again. for anyone who is reading this and wants to try and figure out what the heck happened, it was reshade version 6.1.1 w/ full add-on support and i use TS4.64x file for my game.
