Cant get Reshade to load in most SteamVR games

I can't get the reshade overlay to appear at all in most games whether in the headset or on desktop. ive tried vrchat, hl2vr, Ark-ade, and blade and sorcery in both steamvr and oculus mode. the only game i've gotten it to work in is Beat Saber. i checked openxr for each of them, had no issue with installation.any clue what's going on?

forgot to add, using a Quest Pro via Virtual Desktop.

These games are using OpenVR, rather than OpenXR, so install ReShade with OpenXR unchecked.
