I've read through all other threads regarding this game on these forums, but the problem i am having seems to be different. The other threads talk about black screens and whatnot.
So my problem is,all versions of reshade works in the main menu with the metal block menu and campaign selection, i can properly set up the shaders and they function out of the box, just needed to make depth upside down. Then i started the game and noticed that the effects no longer worked, none of them, so i try to open the reshade menu and the game freezes or crashes. So i did some testing and this is what i found (when trying to open the reshade menu after starting a campaign):
-reshade v4 works fine
-reshade v5 crashes the game
-reshade v6 freezes the game
Can anyone tell me if im doing something wrong?
The way i installed it was opened up the reshade installer chose the dark athena exe and chose opengl. Whether i had any effects enabled or not didn't make any difference. The main menu worked fine and i could enable/disable effects but when starting a campaign the effects no longer work and trying to access the reshade menu crashes/freezes the game. v4 of reshade works but some of the effects i wanted to use do not function with v4. I tried using mesa3d which is an opengl to vulkan converter but turns out it is a driver not a proper wrapper like dxvk so it didnt work. Can someone tell me what i might be doing wrong here?
