So for context, I don't use reshade much. I just use it currently on 3 games solely because of this issue. Once I used reshade for these games, I can't get satisfied with the base visuals anymore and I don't wanna do that to my other games knowing this issue exists. I didn't even play one of these 3 games for more than 30mins so I'll just focus on the other two: Cyberpunk 2077 and FF7 Rebirth.
I play both games without Reshade on 120fps on Rebirth and more than 120 on Cyberpunk 2077 so this is NOT a weak hardware issue. I'm playing both on 1440p just because my monitor is only 1440p. So there's that.
Now, I install reshade, apply the reshade I want for each, then play. Everything's good. FPS is generally the same as without the reshade, BUT I get random fps drops. And by huge, I meant that it goes from the hundreds to 10-15fps. Yes, that huge. Now here's one thing I've noticed: If I save my game, that usually fixes things and my FPS goes back to being above a hundred. This goes for both Cyberpunk 2077 and Rebirth. This works like 8-9 times out of 10. But if it happens during a cutscene or a segment where you can't save, I am forced to turn the reshade off temporarily which I absolutely hate because I've grown to hate these games' vanilla graphics. The reshades I use are THAT GOOD. Also, being forced to save my game every time is a hassle and really annoying. Anyone who experienced this as well and know why it's happening? Have you found a fix for it?
