Good morning Thank you for all the effort.
I made a clean installation of No Man's Sky (Vulkan API) and used 5.1. Reshade not asking to download plugins. After starting game, Reshade is not launching. A quick glance of the installation folder confirms that there is not plugin folder created and Reshade.ini is pretty much empty.
Reshade 5.0. is working on NMS. However, I have framdedrops, but I can't confirm this is due to the new update of NMS or Reshade. I still have to test this proper.

There is seriously drop fps in many games as soon I load the shaders, they are not even selected and no matter if performance mode is selected or now.
In COD Warzone Campaign Single Player I have from 178 fps watching the sky to 113 fps at 4K.
Why this is happening?? can it be fixed? It's more than 50% performance loss even without selecting any shader!!
The depth detection is best now, fixed in many games like COD single-player and Batman Arkham Knight, but the performance reduced is insane.
please how to fix this?

Some games have flickering depth buffers in reshade 5.0.2/5.1 with the new depth detection that don't have this issue in 4.9.1
Example below is from World of Warcraft Shadowlands using the addon-enabled 5.1 vs Reshade 4.9.1 with the network detection code commented out.

When launching SOMA with ReShade 5.0 and higher, even without any shaders, when loading some locations, some colors are inverted. Everything is red and yellow (blood, lights, walls) it turns blue, and vice versa- the sky turns yellow.
4.9.1 doesn't have that

The latest patch for Star Citizen, 3.17, causes it to spew an error about DirectX 11.1 compatibility if people try to load Reshade for the game. They've posted an advisory here (see end):
support.robertsspaceindustries.com/hc/en...ticles/4888457936919
However I found that simply re-naming Reshade from d3d11.dll to dxgi.dll solves this. Just in case they reach out to you for support. And, I'm not sure if the installer has a whitelist feature, but if it does then an update to have it install Reshade as dxgi.dll when installing for Star Citizen would prevent future posts about it.

Given the new ReShadeApps.ini file, I wonder if the single quote in "No Man's Sky" folder name needs to be escaped in order for Reshade to properly process the file path? That would be a question for Crosire?

Yes I'm confirming that. Situation the same - choppy-n-laggy performance with v5.1, constantly FPS drops from stable 51-60 to 33-40 in wildlands faraway from npcs and settlements. Changing DLL to v4.9.1 works as intended - stable performance without spikes/lags 52-75 in wildlands and 45-51 in big city/village areas. After updating 5.0 version ac valhalla become choppy frametime downgrade to 4.9.1 resolve the issue can someone confirm this or it just my pc.
Update1: just have disabled "Generic Depth Detection" in addon settings and relaunched the game - seems that was a culprit. With this addon disabled there's smooth performance like on v4.9.1. I'll investigating further to test more areas

Update2: yesterday I've actively tested AC: Valhalla with disabled addon "Generic Depth Detection" above 4 hours. Smooth performance without lags or "spiked" framerates and even more: + 2-3 stable FPS (compared to v4.9.1) everywhere in game world.Update1: just have disabled "Generic Depth Detection" in addon settings and relaunched the game - seems that was a culprit. By disabling it you're basically disabling depth buffer, so it's not a solution.

Yes you're right, I've missed that fact - my preset not touching depth buffer...
So what's wrong with this addon? Cause similar performance problem not only with AC: Valhalla, my friend told me that in Ghostwire: Tokyo same lag/framespikes with v5.1 (disabling depth addon leads to smooth framerates like on v4.9.1). Both games use DX12 render and maybe troubles with depth detection addon and some DX12 applications?

Does anyone know how to get older versions of ReShade? I really want an older version so I can use PPFX which was removed for some reason and I need that for a game I'm using it with. Help would be greatly appreciated. I find it a bit odd and ridiculous that they remove the download links of older versions in previous threads.

Updating to 5.1 has caused the depth buffer to stop working while playing MX Bikes (OpenGL). Using display depth shows a black screen and seemingly no settings can fix it. I tried installing the "singleplayer only" version of 5.1 in case the depth buffer detection was disabled because MXB is an online game (but with no anticheat), but the singleplayer version did not fix the issue either. The depth buffer worked fine in 4.9.1. Any ideas?

Hello,
5.* versions work fine, but I have a "small" issue on Dayz: screen is generally darker, even with no presets active. I know I can color correct it, but still an extra step. Any known solution for this?
THANKS
