D3D11.3 or 11.4 and D3D12.1 though 12.1 can be set in a variety of ways AFAIK but as a quick test since DXGI.dll covers D3D10 to D3D12 try renaming ReShade64.dll to D3D11.dll and see if going that way works, D3D10, D3D12 or even D3D9 .dll could also be usable and there's the newer depth buffer .dll although I don't think any of the commits post 4.3.0 deal with WDDM, DXGI or D3D compliance or compatibility should there be any titles that explicitly require 11.3 or higher.
(I know there's a MMO I think it was that also relied on this and didn't support lower but gaming wise 11.1 still covers a majority of titles though 11.2 and above could see a increase in usage.)
Patch notes aren't very detailed either on this subject for what got changed in Exodus with the latest update but the RTX examples on NVIDIA had that bit about extending how RTX GI worked so I am curious if there's been further D3D alterations or changes that just aren't mentioned and stuff breaks though I'm not sure.
So yeah DXGI.dll if that doesn't work test the D3D .dll naming system instead starting with D3D11.dll for DX11 which might help but it entirely depends on what got changed with that patch.

Hmmm. It could be easier to debug if i had the update...

The game patch introduced a new "minimum specs warning" feature. Except it doesn't act as a warning, it acts as a complete brick wall for anything that it thinks is below minimum specs. It seems that what ever code they implemented to check your system fails with the Reshade .dll installed.
I've no idea why they did that without a "run game anyway" button. The game in theory could be crippled sometime in the future by absolutely anything it doesn't recognise in a PC

That explains the problem then and not the first time a game ends up implementing a wonky solution that could theoretically break whenever any one component is updated depending on what they are checking against, should just log it or have a warning not a complete blocker so hopefully that gets patched out before things break and before support for the game also stops and the team moves on entirely now that they're already working on the next game.
(But there's still one more piece of content to come out so that at least ensures one more patch while the game is still actively maintained.)
Unfortunate, I was wrong then and instead it turned out to be something worse than just querying D3D feature levels or having some snag on trying to detect the OS version.
Guess ReShade can also only inject as D3D and other graphics API's if the software supports these so no hooking in via X or Direct input (DInput8.dll for example.) though maybe proxy loading ReShade64.dll could also work but does it load early enough to initialize ReShade fully or would it break things.
Quite a problem so hopefully that does get revised whenever the next update comes out though I am not entirely sure on that, someone apparently thought it was a good idea to have that check implemented.

I've no idea if the game accepted an alternately named Reshade .dll file before the patch, as i had no need to rename it. But yeh, currently no suggested alternate filename loads Reshade on the game for me (i'm guessing it'd trip the error message again anyway if it did).
